Patricia M. Jones is a retired Public Administrator with over 40 years experience in both the public and private sectors. Most recently, she served as Assistant Executive Director of the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), the regional planning agency and council of governments representing the nine counties and 101 cities of the Bay Area. Prior to ABAG she was Public Relations Manager for ATT in the East Bay and Editor and Manager of Western City Magazine for the League of California Cities. She was also the League’s first Washington Lobbyist. Ms Jones also worked as a planner for the City of Richmond and Assistant to the City Manager for External Affairs. During her employment with the City of Richmond she also served as Acting Assistant Director of the Housing Authority. Her Federal experience includes two separate tenures with the US. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Reg. IX. — first as a Housing Intern early in her career and later as Deputy Director of the Region IX in San Francisco.
Ms, Jones is a former member of the Board of the East Bay Community Foundation and past President of the Richmond Community Foundation. She is currently a Board Member and officer of UJIMA, a women’s Resource Center headquartered in San Pablo. She holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from San Francisco State University and the University of California at Berkeley.
